University female student leaders earlier today sort to extend their compassion to the kibra girl child by delivering free sanitary pads.

Altogether they converged at Elhafsa conference hall in makina grounds to profoundly educate the young girls on mensturation hygiene.

Led by the university of Nairobi chairperson Ann Mvurya and franked by the area member of county assembly, they distributed roles of sanitary towels and emphasized on the need to formally and informally educate young girls on menstruation circle, stages and the relevant preparedness.

“No girl child should worry about where their next pad will come from, we the older ones will make it a norm”,she said.

With the government report indicating that the recorded procurement done is substantial to cater for the whole population in the country, their pledge to the women parliamentarians is a swift cause of action to keep the girl child in school and sensitize people that menstruation is a normality not a disease due to the rising cases of stigmatisation.
