Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has launched a manhunt for Kandara Member of Parliament, Alice Wahome over embezzlement of Ksh 11 million CDF money.
EAC has accused Alice Wahome of fooling around with public money for a non-existent cattle dip in her constituency.
Already a suspect has been arrested over the ghost project. Alice Wahome is expected to avail herself at EACC headquarters at Integrity Centre immediately.
The developing story comes hours after The Kandara legislator accused President Kenyatta of wanting to cling on to power after the expiry of his term in 2022.
Ms Wahome described the President as “the biggest threat to Kenya’s economy, democracy and freedom of expression”.
She claimed President Kenyatta inherited “a rich democracy from his predecessor Mwai Kibaki. She alleged that under President Kenyatta’s regime Kenya’s democracy had deteriorated.
The MP also alleged that President Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga were planning to use the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) to change the Constitution and cling on to power after 2022.
