This is not the first time the legislator is gunning for DP Ruto.

Earlier this month the woman representative dared Ruto to table proof of his claims about there being plots to allegedly misuse public funds.

The DP had questioned the motive behind the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) push, terming it a plot to divide Kenyans.

Chege dismissed the remarks as baseless, accusing Ruto of peddling falsehoods.

“It’s unfortunate to hear the Deputy President peddling lies against his boss. Let him table the evidence on how much the government intends to misuse instead of misleading Kenyans,” she stated.

She wanted the DP to resign for peddling lies about his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In retrospect, Sabina chege’s remarks could be attributed to the ongoing attack to Uhuru Kenyatta by Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri.

Kimani Ngunjiri accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of using him as a scapegoat to evade questions regarding unfulfilled electoral promises he made to the people of Bahati during his visit yesterday.

Ngunjiri a fierce critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta and an opposer of the handshake says that the president chose to dwell on him instead of focusing on people-centred issues on a recent visit to his constituency.

Ngunjri also stated that he will not shy away from criticising the president adding that the constitution gives him the mandate as an MP to oversight the executive.

“The President said that I should be told to let him do his job while I concentrate on my duties as an MP. I would like to remind the President respectfully that as an MP I am mandated to represent the voice of the people and also oversight the executive,” he stated.
