A 76-year-old man who cycled from Kakamega County to Kabarak in Nakuru to attend the burial of the late President Daniel arap Moi has allegedly died of exhaustion.

“There were no signs of torture on his body. The 76-year-old was probably exhausted,” a police officer told reporters.

Ambuti had left his home on his pimped-out bicycle adorned with national flags from different countries.

On the bicycle were different messages inscribed in white ink.

Ambuti, who hails from Butere, is a self-made peace ambassador for Kenya and wanted to be part of the thousands who would visit the late Moi’s Kabarak home.
