Renowned Uasin Gishu farmer and retired politician, Jackson Kibor, has won a vicious court battle against his six children over his 1, 250-acre piece of land. The elderly politician some of his children resemble his neighbors and that is the reason he wants DNA test to be conducted on them.
Mzee Jackson Kibor, 85, has had several cases in court revolving around his land and his children and wives.
The octogenarian told the court he did not marry the children’s mother and was very skeptical about whether they were actually his offsprings.
Kibor told the court the six children were trying to sell his 1,250-acre land as they had done to some of his property in Nairobi and Mombasa.
“Hawa watoto yangu ni wakora…kwa sababu waliuza nyumba yangu Karen, Nairobi, na wakauze ingine Nyali, Mombasa (My kids are conmen, they sold my house in Karen, Nairobi and another in Nyali, Mombasa ),” he said. “Hawa watoto wanasumbua, nitawapeleka DNA nihakikishe kama ni wangu ama si wangu kwa sababu mimi sikuoa mama yao, (These children have been disturbing me, I will take them for DNA to be certain they are mine because I doubt they are mine as I didn’t marry their mother)” he said.
Kibor’s six children are: Ezekiel Kipngetich, Elkana Kipleting, Evans Kipkosgei, Eric Kipchumba, Raymond Kibitok and Edwin Kipkoech.
