Why Mercy Mwangangi feels Kenyans want total lockdown to curb COVID-19,urges President Kenyatta not to be misguided by minority opinions

President Uhuru Kenyatta had hinted that there is a possibility of Kenya reopening dependent of counties’ readiness but according to the latest development, the Ministry of Health now wants the Head of state to extend the curfew and partial lockdown since it is in the interest of the majority.

“The silent majority can never be wrong. Every opinion must be listened to but it is high time the President should not be misguided by opinions from the minority. Let’s protect lives” Mercy Mwangangi stated.

In a statement that has also elicited mixed reactions in the country, the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Mutahi Kagwe maintains that the curfew and the lockdown should prevail to prevent the new disease from treating Kenyans abnormally.

“All Kenyans want curfew and lockdown extended, let’s not gamble with lives. History will judge us harshly if we cannot do anything within our powers to save Kenyans from the invisible enemy” Mutahi Kagwe tells President Kenyatta

Mr. Kenyatta had earlier statted that the curfew cannot continue forever and that he will soon issue a decree of easing the measures.

President Kenyatta issued a nationwide dusk to dawn curfew on March 27 saying the National Security Council had the measures to protect the life and health of the citizens.
