Counties that may force Uhuru to extend the curfew and partial lockdown due to unpreparedness,Ministry of Health reveals


President Uhuru Kenyatta had hinted that there is a possibility of Kenya reopening dependent of counties’ readiness but according to the latest development, the Ministry of Health now wants the Head of state to extend the curfew and partial lockdown since most counties do not have what it takes to deal with the infectious flu.

In a statement that has also elicited mixed reactions in the country, it is now being revealed that the following counties are unprepared to handle coronavirus pandemic hence the head of state may be forced not open the economy:

  1. Kisumu County
  2. Migori County
  3. Siaya County
  4. Homabay County
  5. Kisii County
  6. Nyamira County
  7. Busia County
  8. Bungoma County
  9. Kajiado County
  10. Bomet County
  11. Kitui County
  12. West Pokot County
  13. Nyandarua County
  14. Embu County
  15. Elgeyo-Marakwet County
  16. Lamu County
  17. Garrisa County
  18. Mandera County
  19. Isiolo County
  20. Taita Taveta County
  21. Kilifi County
  22. Tharaka Nithi County
  23. Meru County
  24. Laikipia County
  25. Uasin Gishu County
  26. Samburu County
  27. Trans Nzoia County

Mr. Kenyatta had earlier statted that the curfew cannot continue forever and that he will soon issue a decree of easing the measures.

President Kenyatta issued nationwide dusk to dawn curfew on March 27 saying the National Security Council had the measures to protect the life and health of the citizens.
