Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu says his administration will set up a special bursary kitty only for Widows in the county.

Speaking at Ole Ntimama Stadium where over 5,000 widows were gathered on Saturday, the Narok Governor said widows have on several occasions been left out of the bursery programme in various wards yet their children are the most deserving.

“It has reached a time as a government we have said we shall slash a budget on bursary in every ward and set it up for these widows,” said Governor Ntutu.

The widows who were celebrating their coming together under One Widows umbrella, told the county boss that since they lost their husbands they have been left at the mercy of well-wishers.

Governor Ntutu told the widows to front representatives to his office to work out on modalities and the amount of money to be set aside the kitty.

“I will work with these officials you have given me so that we know how much money we can get from each ward,” added Ntutu.

The widows were also challenged to work out other revenue streams to support their families.

The meeting was also graced by Hellen Nkaisserry among others.
