Former Chairman of the Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission,Mr Wafula Chebukati has asked Kenyans who still hold grudges against him to forgive him explaining that he always had the country’s interests at heart. Mr Chebukati was admitted to an ICU on Monday  after he collapsed in hospital due to dizziness, stirring reactions on social media platforms due to  his deteriorating health

Chebukati who has stomach cancer and a malignant brain tumor is currently in an unstable condition, his doctors confirmed on Sunday afternoon. He speaks of her life outside politics and from the media narrating the current state as the worst nightmare of his life.  To Wafula Chebukati, he has lost it as she continues to see medics every hour of his life, something that has really become strenuous

“We are still pushing to add more days to the ones estimated that I will be no more. All I need right now is peace of mind and prayers from those who love me. I am going to die Wafula Chebukati said in a statement.

Chebukati who has been hospitalized in a German Hospital since he had a seizure on Thursday, is to undergo a chemotherapy and radiation therapy to treat the glioma, a type of tumor that usually kills within three years.

A brief statement by his personal physician did not give details on Wafula Chebukati’s diagnosis or outlook and did not mention the possibility of surgically removing the tumor — the best hope for longer survival
